Hammond I've been eagerly waiting for this book since Hell's Aquarium was published, which was my introduction to the MEG universe. Even with the disaster that was Vostok, I excitedly snapped this up as soon as I saw it on Amazon Kindle. When the story focuses on Bela and Lizzy, or David's quest to find the Liopleuridon, the book shines.
However, the sequences with Zachary Taylor seemed out of place -- fortunately things don't get as crazy as they did in Vostok, but I still felt all of that detracted from the story. Also, main characters making stupid decisions for the sake of the plot is lame writing -- with the history that has been developed with the Taylors, I can't fathom the rationale for some of the stuff they do here. Overall I still liked the book, and I'm glad there will be another entry -- just please, keep your time travel and aliens out of my prehistoric shark story Mr.
You'll love it! By Shadow I love this series. When a new book in the series comes out I usually re-read the books from the first one. I couldn't wait to do that this time. I was really excited about this one.
Living in the Pacific Northwest I was very curious how it would be part of this new book and I knew it would. It was fun to read the story and know exactly where things were happening. I always like how there are so many different stories going on with each character and at some point they usually meet up.
