Here are the main reasons why you should switch and start using Mod Organizer 2 right now:. There is no mod transfer or automatic process to do this, you have to start over. Delete all of your save games too. Yes, that's right.

It lets you add and remove mods without needing to redownload skyrim since the mods don't rewrite things in the skyrim data folder. NMM has more narrow learning curve, that is true.
However, it installs mods to your Data folder, physically overwriting files. Initial setup is easier, but managing mods overtime is a lot harder than with MO, because of resource priorities are managed by order of installation. You forget one file that needed to be reinstalled, when you updated your mods and you might see a long line of mods being messed up. In worst case you do not notice this, until the damage has been there for a long time and do not know which files to reinstall.
